Derived from the Greek adjective λυκόφρων (lykophron) meaning "wolf-minded". It consists of the Greek noun λύκος (lykos) meaning "wolf" combined with the Greek noun φρήν (phren) meaning "midriff" as well as "mind, intellect, wits".
