[Facts] Nerim
Hi. Okay, this might be too difficult, with too little information for you guys, but I don't think you'll mind a challenge... My husband's majick name is Nerim. This because it was the name that felt right to him.
He would love to know what it means, where it comes from, and all kinds of stuff like that. It could be spelled wrong (haha, isn't this a fun one?) and actually be spelled Nerum, Naerum, Naerim, however... It sounds like "Nerim".Thanks

In the Korean Shaman culture, Naerim-kut is a ritual for first time shamans..

If you write the name backwards (miren), it means peaceful in Slovene. Nerum backwards (muren) means cricket (an insect) :-)

If this is your husband's "majick name", then he must have had a reason for choosing it. I imagine that one doesn't just pull a "majick name" out of a majick hat, like a majick bunny.I don't mind a "challenge" -- but I do mind being asked to research a name when the enquirer could just as easily go straight to the source and ask: "Honey, where did you get that name from?"So, a little more information is required, please.-- Nanaea

If he knew......I wouldn't be asking. Perhaps 'pulling it out of the hat' is indeed the best way to describe how he chose it. He doesn't know any more than I do...

Then what makes him think it has a meaning? Infants babble gibberish all the time out of their own head. Doesn't mean they're speaking any kind of language.Tell your husband the name means whatever he wants to imagine it means.-- Nanaea
