OK, sorry about that.
Do you want the meaning of the first element in Denmark (refering to the tribe of the Danes)?
If so, Danr, Dane is believed to be originally from the Old High German 'tanar' meaning "sandbank" or from the German 'Tanne' meaning "fir". Therefore either meaning "sandbank dwellers" or "forest (fir) dwellers". The latter being the most likely seeing as it fits in with Denmark's topography.
