[Facts] Name Day?
Hi, I am a 20 year old Greek female. When I was baptized, in Greece, in 1982, the priest did not know when my name day was, so we had to ask the bishop of Argolida, GR. He advised us that my name day was on March 25 of each year, and this was due to the mother of a saint being honored by the church on that day. I have searched calendars, and they show that I'm suppose to celebrate my name day on "Ayion Pantwn" or "All Saints Day". All the priests I have asked don't know for sure. I am Greek Orthodox, and I need to know where to look to find this answer or who to contact? Pls advise me,and any informantion you have would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey, Pavlos. How is your Erisian disciple?

Great, Gaia! She now bites less frequently, and mostly with good reason! Today was Greek independence day, and there was a poetry recital event at her nursery school (yes, Nephele is now almost 3!). I was an *extremely* proud dad when I heard her improvise on the silly patriotic poem she was to recite thus:
"I love Greece because it has many blue grasshoppers"

Nephele is a very cool name....Do you give middle names in Greece?

...not as frequently as elsewhere :) Nephele's middle name is Demetra (Demeter) :)
