[Opinions] Sullivan & Silvester
I've got Sullivan and Silvester on the brain at the moment (both for boys, might as well clarify!). Wdyt? I think Sullivan would be usable but I'm not so sure about Silvester.Oh, and also Dominick. Apparently the spelling with the K is archaic but for some reason I like it ... Perhaps it can be my antidote to Broderick :-p

I happen to like the name Sullivan; Silvester I am indifferent about.Dominick is nice in my opinion, although I personally prefer the Dominic spelling.

I know sisters named Sullivan and Sutton (sorry to make you gag, lol...I feel the same way) so they're who I immediately thought of when I saw the title to your post. But I even though I don't love Sullivan, I'd much rather see it on a boy, of course. Silvester reminds me of Sylvester, and therefore the cartoon cat and Mr. Stallone. Not quite usable, imo. I like Dominick, though I prefer it without the "k" but I don't think the "k" is horrible by any means. But Dominic seems to be getting more popular here in the U.S. :-/

Sullivan and Dominick are very nice. I couldn't see Silvester used on an actual person (other than maybe Stallone).

I adore Sullivan & Dominick : ) Both great names!Silvester is okay. I think that it's usable as a name, I even went to school with a Silvester.

Sullivan is a surname. Silvester is nerdy and I think I would prefer Uncle Fester. I would tend to think a Stallone fan. Dominic (without a K) is handsome, and also spelled Dominik. I dislike the 'ck' combination.

I love Silvester, although I would spell it Sylvester. I also love the feminine form Sylvestra. I can see a Silvester / Sylvester just fine in amongst today's smorgasbord (sp?) of names.Sullivan is OK if it's in your family tree and you want to honor it. Otherwise it's just part of the (to me) annoying, anybody else's heritage approach to naming a child. Dominick and Dominic are both great. So is Broderick and Roderick, by the way.
