I don't like
Sawyer's sound, but I can
just tolerate it for a boy. On a girl, however, I think it's hideous. Ugly in sound and supremely unfeminine. How'd
Sara and
Allison go from the lovely, old, offbeat
Levi to the tryndee, surnamey, tradesman, boy's-name-on-a-girl
Sawyer? I can only hope that
Sara took a page out of
Darlene Conner's book and used
Sawyer because it's a family surname for her or Allison--then at least the name would have
some legitimacy to me.
I like
Beau, but probably wouldn't use it since it's the everyday French word for "handsome", and isn't used as a human given name by French-speakers. Still, I think
Beau's probably one of the better--if not the best so far imho--Spice Girls baby names.
Hm, I feel bitchy tonight, don't I? ;-)
