[Opinions] Tuesday and November
Yesterday I met a little 1-year-old girl named Tuesday. I was ecstatic to see that name really used! It's really growing on me now and I can't stop thinking about it.
1) What is your basic opinion of Tuesday?:
2) When you think of someone named Tuesday, what is that person like?:Also, I've been thinking about November for a long time. I can't decide whether it would be masculine or feminine; I would love it on a little boy, but I can't find anyone that agrees. So...
3) What is your basic opinion of November?:
4) Does it seem more feminine or masculine to you?:
5) What do you think about the feminine nickname "Nova"? Anymore nicknames (male or female) you can think of?:
6) When you think of someone named November, what is that person like?: TIA!

I like Tuesday. Its probably the only day of the week that sounds alright on a real person, imo. I picture someone who's creative and artistic who has the tendency to drift away into a world of her own.I like November, I think it would be a very interesting name to have. I definitely prefer it on a girl. I just think it sounds very feminine especially with the "ember" at the end. I guess that sort of reminds me of Amber. Also, you have the nn Nova which is very feminine, IMO, but personally, I prefer Nova on its own. I picture a very quiet, intelligent little girl with pale skin, dark hair and beautiful, green eyes.

Tuesday is not my style, but I guess it could work as a mn.November is cute, and Nova is a fantastic nn. I thin November is fairly feminine.

1) Tuesday is nice name, I like it, but only if it has special meaning to parents (and only if the child was born at Tuesday).
2) Nice, caring, sweet, unique...3) November is been in my mind a while. It's beautiful, but like Tuesday, use it on a child only if it has a special meaning to you. (And don't use it if your kid borns in June.)
4) Feminine.
5) I love it! Other nn I could like is Em (but not Emmy etc).
6) Funny, full of energy, nice, intelligent...

1) What is your basic opinion of Tuesday?: I kinda like it, wouldn;t use it but could deffinate dig it on someone else's kid
2) When you think of someone named Tuesday, what is that person like?: um..a cheerful chatterbug, someone whose quite happy and social
3) What is your basic opinion of November?: Love it- would totally use it if August wasn't my favourite boys name (talk about themey)
4) Does it seem more feminine or masculine to you?: femimine- and I've no idea why. It's a word name, so I want to see it as fair game for either sex- but I can only see it on a girl *shrugs*
5) What do you think about the feminine nickname "Nova"? Anymore nicknames (male or female) you can think of?: I don't really like Nova- mainly because I think of a radio station back home. I really love Emmy as a nn for a girl- it's my nickname of choice for November. Ember would work too.
6) When you think of someone named November, what is that person like?: a daydreamer, someone whose whimsical and artistic, sweet and quite shy

I like Tuesday as a name, not sure if I'd use it though maybe as a mn. It makes me think of Tuesday Weld the actress.I don't like November.

No way! You met a little Tuesday? I'm glad to see it's used, too!1) I really like it, as you can probably tell.
2) I'd think they'd be somewhat like me. :D Relaxed and not over-talkative, but at the same time is creative and opinionated, and stands for what they believe in.
3) I'd like to see November. I wouldn't use it, I don't think, but I like it well enough for someone else.
4) I'd think it was feminine. It could definitely work for a boy too, though.
5) I like it. It's probably the only nickname I'd use for November. In fact, yesterday, I suggested November Jean nn Nova Jean to Carys. I thought that was rather creative of me. ;)
6) Quiet but interesting. Like the kind of person who draws comics in their notebook during class, you know?

I don't care much for either of these names. I'm not fond of any of the month, week, or season names. (with the exception of April, which isn't horrible.) I just don't understand why you would want your child named after a day of the week or a month in the year. I guess it would be okay, if you were honoring somebody that happened to be born in that month, but otherwise I don't like it at all.I really don't like Tuesday that much, as I'm sure you can imagine by the paragraph above! Maybe if there was a good nickname that she could go by, it would be better. My opinions with November are the same as Tuesday, except that I could like with the nn Nova. It makes the name so much better! Since I wouldn't go around calling a boy Nova, I guess this is more of a girls name to me.If you really wanted to use one of these names, I would suggest it in the middle name spot.

I know of a person named Tuesday, an adult. I don't know their gender. Their name is on packages in the recieving room, and sometimes I get confused as to whether it's the date or their name. Not a good thing.November seems the best of the -r month names, but I don't like any -r month names. Mainly because of the nn's Nova and Ember. Again, there might be confusion on labels. Personally, I'd use Tyra or Thyra nn Tuesday, or Nova or Ember nn November, instead of the other way around. (Tyr was the god that gave his name to Tuesday "Tyr's day")

Tuesday:1) I really like it! I can't think of a weekday that would be more suitable as a first name. :)
2) I think of the character from "That '80s Show", so I think a Tuesday would be a very unique person who is not afraid to stand out in the crowd and who will stand up for what she believes in. :)
November:1) I don't like it. I find it tedious and pretentious.
2) It feels more like a feminine name to me, though it should actually be male (I think of Novus).
3) Nova is a good nickname, but a little bit too trendy for me. At least in my country.
4) I have no idea. A bit of a quiet, reserved person perhaps.

Well, growing up and watching old movies, I thought actresses Tuesday Weld and Piper Laurie had interesting names. But now that they've caught on they are much less attractive to me. I now see them as trendy and therefore likely to sound dated very soon.I feel the same way about November. If you look two threads down you'll see a post about a family who named all three of their kids after the day of the week and the month of the year they were born in. See? It's not that unique anymore. Nova is OK as a nn. I'd prefer Nona as a nn; it means "ninth" and so has the same root as November.

The only day names I like are Tuesday and Sunday. For some reason I find Sunday more usable. I think someone with the name Tuesday would be pretty and fun loving.I don't think November sounds particularly feminine, although nns like Nova and Ember do. I think its usuable though I can't quite picture what I think someone named November would be like.

I like Tuesday a little. I also like Wednesday and Thursday. I picture someone rather shy, thinking of the name.November's not bad. And you've got the nicknames Emmy, Ember, or Nova if it's too cumbersome. So I guess it's feminine.
