Both are lovely, great names! Robert is a name that I often here as a middle name for little boys, but hardly ever as a first name.
I was looking at your other favourites and I have to say, I'm really liking Genevieve Laurence (though I know you're using it as a male name). The combo just looks so very French and I love the French pronunciation of Laurence.
Genevieve and Magdalene would look fab as sister-names, too.
