Help[Opinions] Re: What's your opinion on the traditional spellings of Irish names?

I have difficulty with some pronounciations but I love to see names written traditionally
I admit to getting a bit discouraged when reading a book where all the characters have difficult to pronounce names, especially made up creatively spelt names where unlike Irish names I can't figure out how they might be pronounced by checking up on them on BTN.
A pronounciation guide is always useful
