[Opinions] Shani
I love Shani - it symbolises "the scarlet thread" of Biblical and Jewish lore.
Ar first glance Shani might looks like a made-up or bimbo name without history or substance.
But it is Hebrew for "scarlet" and is rich in symbolism. At the moment it's a guilty pleasure name of mine (along with Leilani and Liraz) - but it could become more than that!
WDYT of Shani? Would you be tempted to use it instead of Scarlett (which always makes me think of "scarlet woman"?)

It's a legit name and there's no reason why you shouldn't use it, especially if it means something to you.I had no idea it was a name, every Sian I know gets called Shani from time to time. (Sian being a popular name, said like Shani but without the long -ee sound at the end)

Shani is really cute and I like it, but I would never be temted to use it instead of Scarlett because the two have such different styles.

Its not bad, I prefer the spelling Sharni though.

I like Shani. It sounds pleasant. However, she could get awful nicknames like Neenee or Shan.
