Met a 3 year old boy today named Cypress. (SIGH-pruss) I think it's quite a nice nature name. WDYT?

I'd assume it was Cyprus on a boy.
Cypress seems femme to me because of the -ess ending. Irrational, I know, but that's my reaction.
Still, any name that can be shortened to Cy for a guy is cool.

It's really pretty and I love the images it evokes of the bayous and swamps of the SOuth, although I guess that might not be the best thing in most peoples opinions. However, as a proud Southerner the name feels really comfortable even if it isn't common. I like it a lot.
