I'm starting to really like these but then I like a lot of -lia names.
Which do you prefer? I'm leaning towards Dalia at the moment.

I really l like both and even have Delia on my PNL. I'm not sure which one I prefer.

Like both, but I might prefer Dahlia to Dalia.

I prefer Dalia. It's beautiful, and I think of two Israeli actresses of the past, Daliah Penn (she played Annette in the 1960s "Forsyte Saga" that's available on video) and Daliah Lavi (OK, so the spelling differs, but still!).
Delia (pronounced dee-lee-uh; I've never heard any other version)lacks the sultriness of Dalia for me. It's the name of a famous English TV cook (now in her 60s), Delia Smith.
For a more exotic feel there's the Hebrew Odelia.

is pronounced DEE-lee-ah. Sounds nothing like "the liar."

I've also heard it DEEL-ya.
Do you have the clothing store Delia's where you live? My mother had to ask them how to pronounce it every time she went in. :] They've said both DEE-lee-ah and DEEL-ya.

and DEEL-ya, DEEL-ee-ah, etc. are all fairly common pronunciations (or so I've been led to believe). We don't have a Delia's in our town, but yes, I'm in the States and have shopped there.
Weird. I've never thought there would be any pronunciation difficulties with it. It always seemed so straightforward to me.

I always have pronounced it as deh-lie-ah, and so has anyone else I've heard it from.. You probably live somewhere other than here.

Both are good, you couldn't be wrong with either.

If I absolutely had to pick one, I'd go with Dalia. Delia is sweet and wonderful, but it makes me think of someone a little ditzier than Dalia, who seems more serious and a bit classier. I also prefer Dalia to Dahlia, even though I'd give them identical pronunciations.
What about Cordelia nn Delia? That was my favorite use of Delia.
