During the summer of 1918, Spanish influenza ravaged through the Crosby family. Many of the children contracted it, but Robert was killed.
Hazel worked as a nurse during the war, and she met her husband, Andrew, there. The two were married in 1919, and have moved to their own small house. Andrew is now working as a lawyer in the city.
