[Opinions] Aja or Asia?
I don't care for Asia as a name, but when it's spelled Aja, I rather enjoy it! What do you think?

I feel the same as you...I adore Aja, but not Asia. Use it, it's pretty! It's also the name of a Steely Dan album.

They have two different sounds, imo. Aja = AY-jah and Asia = AY-zha. Asia doesn't have a "J" sound in it. As for which one to choose, well, I don't care for either but at least Asia is a real continent and is actually a real name. Aja just looks, well, illiterate to me.

Out of the two? Asia, although I'm not a fan of the name. i don't like the look of Aja at all, and I probably wouldn't pronounce it as Asia either if I saw it.

I prefer Asia and only as a nickname for Anastasia. I think Aja just looks misspelled.

When it comes to words as names I feel very strongly that parents should stick to how it appears in the dictionary. It is one thing to take liberties with a name, but a whole other thing to misspell a word.

I knew an Aja once, but she was AH:-yah: I don't think Aja and Asia are the same name at all. I don't like Asia either. If I had to suggest some alternate spelling I think Azia or Aysha would make more sense.

I think Aja is beautiful. Asia is cute though.
