[Opinions] Silas
What do you think of Silas? Also, what do you think of these?Damien
Dominic I'm so happy that I still have 32 weeks to figure out what to name our child. I'm really stuck on boy names at the moment which is rare for me because I've always had a more difficult time picking out girl names.

Love it. Great meaning too. Damien is blah for me - it's been so popular in Ireland for years I know loads. I used to love it - I remember being happy when my cousin named his son Damian when I was 9 or so but overuse killed it for me.I like Dominic a lot. But I love Silas!

I adore Silas, so handsome. Damian was my favorite name for years but it has slowly moved down my list, I still love it though. Dominic is great too. I have a nephew named Dominic so it is special to me.

I love the name Silas! Damien is a decent name. I like it, but not enough to use it myself. I think I prefer Dominic over Damien. Silas Damien, Damien Silas, Silas Dominic, and Dominic Silas would all be nice combos.

There's really no denying the beauty and allure of soft, elegant (while still boyish) Silas. Love it.I like Dominic. Damien I do not. It has the connotation of a hellian.

I don't like Silas at all- its so slithery and I really dislike the 'sigh' sound at the beginning (I'm not a fan of Simon either for that reason).I adore Dominic- it is such a strong and handsome name. Damien is nice enough. Not a favourite but there is nothing really wrong with it- I definitely wouldn't mind seeing it on someone else's kid.

I like all three.Silas- kind of an unknown classic outside of the name nerd community. Underused.
Damien- Strong without being too overbearing.
Dominic- Snappy and has good nick name possibilities (Dom, Nic/Nick, Nico)

I really like Silas. I was actually just thinking about this name, haha. I think it's charming & handsome. And it's not a name you hear every day! Damien and Dominic are okay, but personally I prefer Silas to the two of them.

I really like both Damien and Dominic, and would be happy to see them used. I'm not a bit keen on Silas, though. Apart from its image of rural poverty, like Simon it starts with a 'sigh', which I find really negative and depressing.Edited to remove typo.
