I don't use the "th" sound at all - I say it "TAL-ee-ah". I didn't realise that was wrong. I quite dislike making the "th" sound for this name, it sounds like a lisped "sallia". edited: well, I see that it should be said "tha-LYE-ah" if you are using the ancient Greek, which I do not mind as much as "thal-ya" or "tha-lee-ah". It's pretty in an offbeat, exotic sort of way.

Ditto- I've met two Thalia's who say their name "TAL-ee-ah", so this is how I've always pronounced it.
