Keyla, I'd pronounced it as Keela, there's no KAY sound.Melanni, Melonni, Melanny, definitely Melanie.Melena, I'd say Melina.

The American in me wants to pronounce Keyla "KEE-lah" but sometimes my Spanish class vocabulary and phonics intervene and wish to say "KAY-lah." I much prefer KEE-lah in this instance. I'm tired of all the Kaylas / -kaylas right now. Melanni: may-LAHN-ee (almost Hawaiian-ish) OR MEL-ahn-ee (like Melanie)
Melonni / Melanny: MEL-ahn-ee (like Melanie)Melena: MAH-leen-ah

Damn. Keyla is causing problems. At first glance (before I read your pronunciation suggestions) I thought Keela, but when I read the name once more I thought Kayla. It doesn't make much sense to me.I pronounce Melanni like Melanie, but Melonni and Melanny like meh-LAHN-ee (with the "meh" rather than "mah" beginning.)I pronounce Melena like meh-LAY-nuh. I'm not sure which other option that suits best.

The key to Keyla seems to be the Kee ...I would fear that all your Melanni, Melonni and Melanny variations were variations on Melanie, and pronounce them accordingly. I've never encountered Malani, though it is possible in South Africa where Malan is a well-known surname: giving children a family ln as their fn is pretty usual in the Afrikaans-speaking community and sticking an -i on the end is a standard feminisation. I'm surprised I haven't seen a Malani!I'd guess muh-LEEa-na for Melena, once again based on what I would hear where I live. The LEEa is, I suppose, closest to Lear (as in King) without the r.

Keyla - Right off the bat I read it as Kayla, but then after I looked at it a second I pronounced it Keela. I would probably assume that the parent meant it to be a creative spelling of Kayla, though, and pronounce it as such.Melanni, Melonni, Melanny - Again, I would assume all of them to be spellings of Melanie. I would want to pronounce Melonni "meh-LAW-nee" or "meh-LOW-nee" though.Melena - Malaina

Keyla- hmm... I'd probably try kay-la first. kee-la does make sense too, though.
Melanni, Melonni & Melanny- I'd figure these to be an other spelling for Melanie, but in my head, I'd say "meh-LANN-ee" for the first and last, "meh-LONN-ee" for the middle one.
Melena- I'd say "meh-LEH-nuh" so I guess closer to "Malaina".
