[Opinions] Pronunciation of Elin...
It used to be my very favourite girls name, pronounced as EL-in, and I'm loving it again. Which pronunciation do you prefer out of the following?EL-in
EE-lin
AY-linAs far as I know, they're all legit. I still prefer EL-in. Merci :)

I usually say EL-in. As for my opinion on the name, Elin sounds nice. I like it better than Ellen.

I've always thought it was pronounced EE-lin. (At least, I'm pretty sure that's how Tiger Woods's wife pronounced her name.) If EL-in is what you're looking for, I think you're better off with Ellen, less confusion.

EL-in. I like it too, it's such a nice short simple name.

I prefer E-lin or EE-lin. I really don't like AY-lin!

EL-in for me.

From what I've heard it's Ee-lyn. For EL-in I would spell it Ellen to avoid mispronounciations.

EL-in sounds like Ellen to me :P
I prefer th Swedish prn, which is a mix between EE-lin/EH-lin and AY-lin I guess. Perhaps someone else will do a better job explaining how it's pronounced. :)

Swedish long e, like in Elin, should be produced the same way as the vowel in burn, but without rounded lips. (And while we're on it, a Swedish y is an i with rounded lips ;) Yes, I've studied phonetics.)
