I feel like it's a dumb question, but I was talking to a friend today and mentioned this name and she was surprised at the way I was pronouncing it. I pronounce it ez-ruh.

Ez-ruh -- it's my nephew's name. I can't imagine it being pronounced any other way.

I saw how you said your friend is pronouncing it. Very weird, she's not dyslexic is she? I just can't see how she figures the 'r' comes before 'z'. Odd.

Sort of! She said it like Eer-zuh, with the first syllable rhyming with sheer.
