I think Loveday was one of the names I saw everywhere when I was doing a bit of online research on the area one branch of my family came from - Cornwall. I think it's useable! I like it, it's quirkily Puritan.

For all the reasons that everyone said before me "no" I say to use it as a middle name. It's a great name, but it would be tough as a boys first name.

It's okay for a pet or a character, but I don't think it works for a child.

Both Love and Day are two of my GPs, so you'd think I would like Loveday, but I'm just not feeling it at all. I think of dates and designations like Labor Day, Arbor Day, and "Tuesday is meatloaf day," and Loveday becomes just...no.

I think it would be fine for a pet or fictional character, but I wouldn't use it as a first name for a person. It would work as a middle name, though. As a first name, it's a bit much, but I have met people named Lovely and Clearblue, and I don't recall them having many problems. I guess it all depends on where you live and how tolerant people around you are of such things.

It's something a celebrity might use.

I don't think it is usable at all on a child. I don't really see it working on a pet unless it is on a bird. Just about anything is suitable on a fictional character.
