[Opinions] Saturnina!
I've had this name on my list for a while now, but I've not once come across a real life use of it. Until today! I was reading the paper during lunch and there was a Saturnina in the obits. She was born in the 1940s in Cuba. Seeing it in real life has renewed my love of it (though it's sad the woman passed away). What's everyone's thoughts on it? Any combo ideas spring to mind? How do you think it would work irl / what sort of person do you see with this name? Is it one of those names that you think would be weird on people from certain countries or cultures (like would it be too weird for an American maybe)?I'm thinking Saturnina with the nickname Nina would be lovely. Maybe something like:Saturnina Jacoba
Saturnina Stella
Saturnina August
Saturnina Belen
Saturnina Claire
Saturnina Elanor
Saturnina Esme
Saturnina Leonie
Saturnina Nell
I have a soft spot for the "girly" versions of ancient gods names. Saturnina, Artemisia, Urania, etc

It radiates celestial coolness. I like it. She could always go by Nina, so I think it's usable. Out of your combos, I like Saturnina Belen and Saturnina Claire the best. I like it best with one syllable middle names (or two tops). A middle name with more than two syllables seems to make the combo sound like a mouthful.Others:
Saturnina Fleur
Saturnina Pearl
Saturnina Colette
Saturnina Cosette
Saturnina Laure
Saturnina Fern
Saturnina Fay / Faye
Saturnina May / Mae
Saturnina Maeve

It's really neat. I'd imagine a Saturnina to be super intelligent, and either very far on the left or right side of the brain- like a famous chemist or singer. I think it's usable in most of the US, especially a cosmopolitan area or an area with a high Spanish-speaking population. My favorite of your combos is Saturnina Belen and Saturnina Elanor- both are elegant and suit each other well. Here are some of mine:Saturnina Mahvash
Saturnina Roshanak
Saturnina Bastet
Saturnina Rosamund
Saturnina Isis
Saturnina Belphoebe
Saturnina Nahid
Saturnina Dorothee
Saturnina Viatrix
Saturnina Mahtab
Saturnina Banu Niloofar
Saturnina Felicidad
Saturnina Azeneth
Saturnina Capucine
Saturnina Sieglinde
Saturnina Morvarid
Saturnina Mnemosyne
Saturnina Nieves
Saturnina Paz Soledad

I like it, although I don't like the nickname Nina. Saturnina does sound Spanish or Italian to me, very heavy and graceful. Like the name of a dancer. I can only imagine a dark haired Saturnina but I would be glad to see it on anyone of any background. The only problem is it is close to the adjective saturnine. It's cold and dark and gloomy, but in a magnificent way! Saturnina Esme and Saturnina Belen are both beautiful, I think the other names you chose are a bit too light and cheerful. Saturnina Augusta would also be nice (and formidable).
A few other combos:
Saturnina Noor
Saturnina Olalla
Saturnina Iris
Saturnina Lais
Saturnina Dulce
Saturnina Beatriz
or as a middle name:
Ana Saturnina
Teodora Saturnina
Gloria Saturnina
Flor Saturnina / Flora Saturnina
Viola Saturnina
Ligia Saturnina
Josefina Saturnina (too much rhyme?)I really like Urania, but pronounced "oo-RAN-ia". It has a similar appeal to Saturnina but more lively and intellectual. I love that Urania is the muse of astronomy. Artemisia is growing on me too. I also like Artemy and Artemio, male versions.

I get a really weird image of this name, but anyway.... :PI kind of like Saturnina. I've never really thought about it, but now that you mention it I have a little GP-ish soft spot for it. Of yours I like Saturnina Elanor (but I prefer the spelling Ellinor) and Saturnina Leonie. Saturnina Johanna immediately sprang to mind, but I don't know if that's too much -a at the end.I love Artemisia, btw. It's on my PNL.

I like Saturnina. It's pretty, and definitely very unusual.

It does not give me the feminine vibe. It sounds pretty and I love Nina but Sat - ur is so harsh and I can see the nick names forming all ready sat -on -nina etc. However I love off beat and I love the feeling you get when you see a great name so use to your hearts desire just beware of the sat-on jokes.
