Help[Opinions] August and Scarlet?
What are your thoughts on August Nathaniel James and Scarlet Amélie Kathleen "Scout"? James and Kathleen honour my maternal grandparents. Scout is a name I adore but wouldn't use as a given name.

I love the boys names but would prefer August James Nathaniel.
And I like Scarlett (prefer this spelling) and Amelie, but I don't get the Scout nick name. It seems like a bit of a stretch.

I really like August Nathaniel James, love all the names individually and it makes a handsome combo. I do like Scarlet a lot but it just doesn't go with your other names for me. It kind of 'clashes' with August and I think Amélie Kathleen Scarlet would sound a little smoother. Like Teacups said, I don't think Scout needs to be a nickname for a particular name, and it doesn't come that intuitively from Scarlet. It's a really cute nickname although I also wouldn't use it as a given name.

I am partial to August. It's a nice enough combo (flows well too) but I'm not a huge fan of Nathaniel or James.
On the other hand, I am not into Scarlet / Scarlett at all but I looove Amélie and Kathleen together. It makes for a really soft combo, which tones Scarlet down imo.
I do like Scout, just for the Finch reference, but I think it can be a nickname for anything, like Poppet or Sweetie or Possum.
