[Opinions] Re: Ian ...
Any drawbacks / negative connotations that you can think of? Hmm, there is always some person that mistakenly say EYE-an or insist that his name is pronounced EYE-an ala Ian Ziering, whom I find incredibly annoying. However, who even knows who he is anymore?Any positive associations you can think of? I immediately think of Sir Ian McCellan (not quite sure on the spelling of his last name), who is an incredible actor.Since I adore John, Ian just wouldn't work for me, but I don't find it particularly bad by any stretch of the imagination. To me it is not popular or overused, just well known. Its a strong and solid name, IMHO, that doesn't overwhelm a person.
