[Opinions] Lillie
I used to prefer Lily for a long time, but Lillie has really grown on me. It was used a lot in the early 1900s. It has a silvery-blue color and I like it much better than Lilly which looks unbalanced to me.What do you think of Lillie?Rank the spellings:Lily
Lilly
Lillie
Lili
Lilli
Lilley

I prefer Lillie as a nickname, but I find it preferable to Lilly. Ranking:

Lillie
Lilly
Lili - I think this looks more like LEE-lee than Lily LIL-ee, though.

Actually I like it. It's less prissy and dull than Lily.

I prefer Lily, but Lillie is my second choice. Lily
Lillie
LillyI don't like Lili, Lilli, or Lilley at all, particularly Lilley.

I don't like Lily at all - or most flower names, actually. And since I've got an Elizabeth friend who goes by Lillie, that's the version I prefer. I don't know why she uses that spelling, but the nn itself was her elder siblings' best attempt at Elizabeth so perhaps the Lillie spelling is also a childhood error.Lilly looks unconvincing. Lili ... Lili Marlene underneath her lamp-post! Gee, thanks, I'll be whistling it all day. My poor colleagues! Lilli is better than Lilly but still not good. And Lilley is all surname to me.

I love the name Lily. And Lily is definitely my favourite spelling. Lillie is perfectly fine to me (I like most Lily spellings) but I generally prefer -y endings to -ie. I like Lilly better than Lillie and Milly better than Millie. To me I think Lillie looks too full somehow. Strangely, I like Lilli better. My spellings rank:
Lily
Lili (From a book I loved when I was younger)
Lilly
Lilli
Lillie
