[Opinions] Re: Beatrix or Beatrice?
With a mother and a daughter named Beatrice (after a grandmother's mn!), what do you expect me to prefer? That said, Beatrix is very Dutch-royalty, which I find unattractive but amusing; my Beatrice daughter doesn't enjoy Beatrix one bit, probably because it just isn't her, and used to get peeved if her teachers got it wrong and Beatrixed her by mistake.I like Bea as a nn for either name. I find Trixie very juvenile, and for some reason it makes me think of a performing fox terrier in a pink ballet skirt. Beattie is unthinkable.
