I've always thought Sylvester was awesome. I love Sylv- names. Clive doesn't do much for me; it makes me think of chives. Orlando is a little too dramatic/pretty/celebish for me.

I prefer Silvester! It's the original spelling, from 'silva', and it means "of the woods."
I like Orlando quite a lot, actually. The Bloom association is a slight annoyance, but there's also Virginia Woolf's novel - yay!
Never considered Clive. It's a goodie though. :)

I love Clive, I think it's got a very cool vibe to it.
Sylvester & Seymour are two names that have a cool history and an awesome sound, but I'm not sure how they would work today. I think Seymour would work better than Sylvester, probably because Sylvester brings to mind Stallone and Sylvester the Cat.
Orlando is too celebrity for me. All I can think of is Orlando Bloom. Horatio is cooler to me and a bit more unexpected.

Seeing Horatio and Seymour makes me think of Horatio Seymour, former democratic governor of New York and land speculator. He bought most of the land in what is now Seymour, Wisconsin, so the town was named after him, but he never came here. He also ran for presidnet, and lost to Ulysses S. Grant. I went to school in Seymour, that's how I know about that.

Wish I liked Seymour. I sorta like the sound, but it just looks so ugly to me... maybe I'd like Simor. lol

Yeah, I love movies. They're all okay but Sylvester is very much associated with the actor. Also it's the German word for 'New Year's Eve' so I consider it unusable for myself. Looney Tunes is another association.
Orlando might work as a middle name. It's okay as a first name but I think many would think you were an obsessed teen girl who named him after Orlando Bloom. I had a bunny named Orlando and people always asked whether he was named after the actor. I named him after the city because I got him there. It was annoying because I don't like the actor all that much. I prefer to think of Shakespeare or even the city.

All of them are dashing, though my favorite is Sylvester, which I adore. I wish I heard them more often!

Clive - Has been so dorkified and unused for so long, that since I haven't seen any Clives it no longer really has any image impact for me. Hipstery. Could be either dorky or cool. I like the sound of it alright. I guess maybe it sounds a little snide or snooty, but that's just the sound of it. Clyyyyyve.
Sylvester - kind of wrecked by Stallone, and the cat ... otherwise kind of stuffy. But still cool somehow... I'm personally not into it because the 'vest' part grabs me too much, makes me think of suits.
Orlando - seems sort of swaggering. Not bad. And a little bit funny to me, because of Mr Bloom who IMO does not carry the name off very well and should have been named Josh. I'd like it better if it had the possibility of a friendlier nickname. Andy? Too boring.
