[Opinions] Cosette
I've just fallen for this name, today. How do you like it?
Is it usable?
Is "Cozy" too silly of a nickname?

Where I live, sure, it's usable. But I don't know anyone so named.I know a few Colettes, if that's any help. No, I don't like Cosette. And it probably wouldn't need a nick name, only two syllables.

Sorry ... I concur with most everyone else. I would rather be a Nevaeh than a Cosette. It sounds like a term of endearment, powdered and powerless. Even has a vaguely sleazy vibe. Cosset, corset. Don't like.Usable, yes. But Cozy is too silly. Would you want to be addressed as Cozy? Seriously. Anyway I think it should be Cosie (CO-see) not Cozy.

YUCK. Sorry, but YUCK.

It hasn't ever been on my list or anything, but I would love to see it on somebody else's little girl. Cozy is not too silly for a little girl at all, and her full name would age well I think. Etta or Ettie would be other nickname options that might last into adulthood.

I don't like it for some unknown reason. I just don't like how it looks on paper.
I doubt it's usable in my book and the nickname is silly.

I used to have a cat named Cosette (Cozy). We adopted her when she was less than six weeks old and she really was tiny (thus, the name Cozy). For a person, I see it as a tad precious, however, I can't deny that it's lovely. Still, I prefer it on a pet. Sure, it's usable, imo. Cozy is not, though.

It sounds kinda frou-frou. I don't think it's usable.I don't like -ette names in general, except for Violette, Paulette, and Claudette.

I much prefer Colette. Cosette is too wimpy and fluffy. Cozy is definitely a strange nickname.

It's gross. Like a nasty little poodle with painted toenails that barks in this high-pitched yap all the time and pees anytime you look at it.And Cozy makes me want to puke.

I love Les Miserables, but I don't think Cosette is very usable. I also think Cozy is too silly.

I don't really like it - it makes me think of a tea cosy! I suppose it is useable, but I wouldn't use it.Yes I do think "cozy" is a silly nickname!

I love it, but really it's because I've been a big Les Mis fan for years. I'd only use it as a mn though, as it will always be so closely associated with the character.

First I think 'lettuce' then I think 'urgh Les Mis names'. I don't like it, and I like plenty of -ette names. There's just something really unappealing (to me) about Cosette.I think Cozy is pretty silly (sp. cosy where I live anyway). So yeah, thumbs down from me unfortunately.

I think maybe as a middle name it would be acceptable. It makes me think of tea cosys like mentioned in the HP franchise and also of Les Mis. I find I couldn't see with a little girl having this as a forename but I do think it is better than some names. -ette names don't tend to appeal to me. But it you love it, go for it!
