[Facts] Re: Correcting Pronounciations
That's because on the original page it has to be approved first for it to display. Otherwise anyone could write anything.. Also, there might be more legit pronunciations, so just because you would pronounce something differently, that doesn't automatically make the existing one incorrect.

Thanks for the info. Is there anything that has to be for that process to start, or is adding the pronunciation enough?(Anyway in the case I attempted to correct, the pronunciation given is definitely incorrect, the name being a very region/one-country specific non-English name and the given pronunciation changes the gender of the name entirely). I believe someone else has mentioned this before me in the comments as well, but I'm not sure if they tried to add a pronunciation as well)

You can call Mike's attention to it by emailing him (mike@behindthename.com), or by PM'ing him (http://www.behindthename.com/privatemessages/compose.php?user=1). He's the one who maintains the database, and he does updates fairly frequently but not on a specific schedule. It can't hurt if you include any outside references for the information you want changed (books, websites, etc that show or discuss the pronunciation).
