I used to like the name Romaine, until I found out that it's salad!
When I was a child, I saw the name Reine written on a wall and thought it was beautiful. In Swedish it's a boys' name pronounced RAY-neh. It's rather unusual, a form of Reinhold I think. Anyway, I thought it was a girls' name! A little strange, since "reine" (pr. RHEN) means "queen" in French, and I didn't know a word of French then!
