[Opinions] Mary
I was crushing on Mary for a few weeks before this, but I've decided that I'm officially in love.As it's very simple, I've been trying to think of combos that spice it up a bit. I basically just went through my name list and pulled names that I thought would make good mns. This is what I've got so far:Mary Rosamund
Mary Linnea
Mary Leona
Mary Adelaide
Mary Fleur
Mary Celeste
Mary CharlotteWDYT of those ones, and do you have any additional suggestions? Or if you totally hate Mary you can talk about that too :D

I love Mary! I may be a bit biased since it's a family name, but I think it's simple yet classy and feminine (plus it isn't overused anymore :)Of your combos, Mary Celeste is my favorite. The others aren't really my style. Some other suggestions:Mary Alexandra
Mary Aurelia
Mary Celestia
Mary Cecilia
Mary Daniela
Mary Eleonora
Mary Gabriela / Gabriella
Mary Isabela / Isabella
Mary Julianna / Juliana
Mary Liliana
Mary Luciana
Mary Natalia
Mary Ophelia / Ofelia

I love Mary. It's my grandmother's name, but I used to think it was too elderly to use. Then I had a dear friend in college named Mary (no nickname) and it was just so lovely. It works so well on every age of woman. It's somehow both cute and very elegant. Also, I'm Catholic so I have a definite soft spot for it even beyond it being my grandmother.Mary Rosamund - Rosamund is nice heavy counterbalance to the lighter Mary. I get a pleasant, motherly image from it/
Mary Linnea - Much younger than Mary Rosamund. This a great use of light and lovely Linnea.
Mary Leona - Usually I like Leona, but I'm not feeling this. It isn't bad, just not quite doing it for me.
Mary Adelaide - Adelaide always makes me think of Miss Adelaide from Guys and Dolls and Southern Belles. It's a very sweet and innocent combo.
Mary Fleur - Fleur is a little short to pair with Mary for my taste, but it does have a nice sound.
Mary Celeste - I'm not crazy about Celeste but it flows well.
Mary Charlotte - Another summertime Southern Belle name but it is quite nice.My absolute favorite Mary combination is the slightly ridiculous Mary Philomena. It's so...I don't know, but I really like it.Others:
Mary Leontine - Alternative to Mary Leona that I like better.
Mary Athena - I love Greek myth names, so here's one. :)
Mary Cecilia
Mary Celandine - I guess I like these sort of frilly names with Mary
Mary Renata
Mary Madeleine

I think she might have come from you, originally. :) It was a few years ago, trying to find the board.

Mary Celeste is my favorite. Mary Linnea is hella nice though, and I usually hate that name.Nice combos all around, but sort of stale to me because this was exactly my taste for a while and it's not any more, so they don't quite tickle me like they might.I really like Mary Indu, which I came up with the other day.Let's see... mine are gonna be a little darker, cuz that's where I'm at right now. Also, inspired by random name generator names. Won't be offended if u don't like any, they're experimental.Mary Sibyl
Mary Severina
Mary Yin
Mary Noor
Mary VasudaMary Cloelia
Mary Arachne
Mary Constantina (note to self: I think Edith Constantina is my new Edith combo)
Mary Delia
Mary Gratia

I like Mary. I feel like I shouldn't though. I feel like I should find it bland and boring and overused, but for some reason I think it's really nice. It's very pretty and actually doesn't seem dated, even though it is.Mary is a hard name to come with great middle names for. Obviously you don't want to go with anything that's too "out there", but you want to keep it somewhat interesting because of the possible dullness of Mary. Mary Rosalind - I prefer this to Rosamund. The 'mund' turns me off for some reason.
Mary Julia
Mary Vivian
Mary Isis / Iris
Mary Willow
Mary Fiona - Ooh I love that.
Mary Eliot - I don't know where this came from, but I like it. I think Eliot works on a girl in the mn spot.
Mary Lillian
Mary Briar
Mary Georgia
Mary Diana

I love Mary. It may have been overly used in the past. But for this newest generation I find it sweet and refreshing. :-) Your combinations are lovely. Mary Rosamund -- the "r"s are too close -- save Rosamund for Mary's sister ;-)
Mary Linnea -- perfection
Mary Leona -- not a fan of Leona personally, but it flows well
Mary Adelaide -- spunky retro-charmer -- love it
Mary Fleur -- works surprisingly well
Mary Celeste -- love it, but others usually point out the infamous ship, darn it
Mary Charlotte -- gorgeousA few of mine:Mary Nolwenn
Mary Diana
Mary Violet
Mary Columbine
Mary Isobel
Mary Bridget
Mary Estelle
Mary Siobhan / Sinead
Mary Fiona / Finola / Fionnuala
Mary Adele
Mary Callista
Mary Niamh
Mary Jacinda / Jacinta / Jacintha

Mary Callista is great! Mary Columbine would be so pretty but it has bad memories attached to it...maybe Mary Columba?

Mary Columba is gorgeous. Thanks! Columba is one of the few unisex names I love. :-)

Yum, Mary Callista. And Mary Columbine is so lovely, it's like something you'd see on a nursery wall. Mary Bridget is super buttoned-up and smart. Mary Linden is a gentle poem. Mary Evelyn is the nicest girl you've ever met.

Good point about Mary Rosamund and the 'r' sound. I hadn't thought of that, and now that you mention it it's bothering me!My favorites from your list are:
Mary Violet - so, so, so good.
Mary Diana - beautiful.
Mary Colette - I wouldn't have thought of Colette, but I really like this!
Mary Genevieve - lovely!
Mary Delphine - beautiful!Your list also gave me the idea for Mary Gwendolyn, with which I am now in love. Thanks very much for your ideas!
