My Aunt is named this. Actually, we are Italian... and she lives in Umbria, so we call her Zia Luana.
I have always thought it was lovely. The only drawback I have is that I cannot find a certain meaning for it. I can only find, like this site notes, several meanings and that is was used in a movie.
But, it is simple, sweet... and short. You may have to correct pronunciation sometimes, but that is not a deal-breaker.
