[Opinions] Adrian
What's your impression of Adrian?
Right now it looks like I'm going to have a nephew in a few months named this, although pronounced "AH-dree-ahn" where we live.

I grew up with a close friend named Adrienne, so it's always sounded so feminine to me. I don't like Damian or Julian for boys, and Adrian kind of fits in with those. There is something about the -ian ending that sounds really really whiny to me.

One of my best friends' name is Adrian, so it's hard to be objective about it. We also pronounce it AH-dree-ahn, like you. I like the name, it's classic and familiar but not overused.

I really like this name for a boy. I don't care for it or Adrienne for a girl.

Love it! Adrian is classic, timeless, elegant, sophisticated and yes, sexy.

I like it.

That's one of my favorite names.
It's as classic, versatile, timeless, and international as Julia. You think? :-)

Funny that you mentioned Julia. I thought my brother and his girlfriend where going to have a girl, and I had a feeling they were going to name her Julia. As it turns out, it's a boy :)I think Adrian is alright. Not something I would choose, but a lot better than it could have been. But who knows, it's a few months left and they might change their minds. :)

Adrian is very handsome in my opinion. I picture a man with a sweet disposition and very passionate.

Lucky you! I think it's an excellent name, with echoes of one of the more interesting Roman emperors for good measure.I've never liked Adrienne or any other fem version, though. Are they in use where you live?

I like Adrian alright, but like you i'm not a fan of Adrienne or any other version. They are not used where I live :)
