I looked up the pronounciation,but I'm still not sure I'm saying it right.
I did know a couple of women named Beryl, as a child.Where I lived, it came out "Bur'l".
I didn't know, then, that it was jewell name.
I don't think I like it very much.

I say it exactly like the word "Barrel". That could be wrong, but I'm not sure how else it could be said. Be-rill? Ba-rile? They are all pretty awful, I admit it. It's not for everyone!
