Way too insubstantial. If I had a sister named Miriam and I got stuck with just Jill I would be distinctly unimpressed.

You sound like my sister. She hated the name Jessica and always wanted a more uncommon name like mine. I, on the other hand, hated my name and wanted more common one.
Alexander would never agree to Jill so don't worry. It's just a name I love.
