I don't mind it, though I wouldn't use it myself. We have friends who have a DD named Naya. That was the first time I had heard it. Haven't seen them for years, but she must be about 9 or 10 years old now. I don't find it trashy at all, because my association is that of our friends DD and neither she nor they are trashy. I pronounce it NYE-uh.

Beautiful. I know a Naia - a friend of mine named her daughter that and she is now almost 5 years old. A true beauty, and a feisty spirit. She pronounces it 'Ny' ah

I like it and think it's very pretty. However, it vaguely reminds me of someone saying Maia with a stuffy nose.
