My favorite nicknames are Margie, Margo, Gretchen, and of course Meg/Megan. I had wanted to call my Margaret Margie for short, but she was just a Meg. She's also a Megan, so I don't ever correct people when they call her that. It suits her.
I really like Marjorie too, I'd also consider using it if I didn't have a Margaret.
