Having read the other responses, I've known more
Tessa people than T(h)eresa people, and I've never known a T(h)eresa use
Tessa as a nn. They've either used the full form, or gone by
Terry. But I do know a
Tessa whose birth name is Tertia (or perhaps Tersia; never seen it written down) because she had two elder sisters and her parents had run out of girl names. Now she's a contented
Tessa with grown-up children, so age about 50 I imagine.
