Yeah, it's dated. It came along with Ashley and Courtney, but both those names stayed more popular for longer. Lindsay just didn't have whatever they had.
I never liked it, but prefer Lindsey just because the ay ending with the ee sound is silly to me.
We don't need to set the sky on fire. A little glow will do just fine.
