I'd use Geneva before I would use Genevieve. I like the French Genevieve - which is awkward for an English speaker imo - but the English pronunciation seems overbearing to me. I don't mind the name too much though, and I see why people would prefer it (Geneva being a city). I've encountered young girls named each, and I thought Geneva seemed much cooler tbh.
