[Opinions] Re: Opinions on Ingrid
I sort of agree with your friends, but in the sense that that is what makes Ingrid charming. It has a sort of homespun toughness about it, a dusty forgotten elegance (thanks Ingrid Bergman). My Oma wanted to call me this name after her sister, but my mother refused because she thought it was hideous (to be fair, my mother definitely has "a type" when it comes to names she likes, and Ingrid is the polar opposite of that type). Ingrid has a kind of "ugly duckling" energy to it - it's actually quite chic in a certain light, but most people can't see its elegance and can only see it as lanky and clumsy. It's such a lovely green colour to me, and has a wise, calm aura about it.
