[Facts] Re: For Mike C: Name popularities for Korea and Japan.
For the Japanese ranking I believe this one https://st.benesse.ne.jp/ninshin/name/2010/name-ranking/ is more conclusiveIt's hard to argue which one to include (the reading list or the kanji list) since they're both essential to Japanese names, but the kanji lists are more extensiveThanks for the website link, it includes rankings going back to 2005 which is really helpful~☆July Song Recommendation☆~

I also copied the Benesse rankings to my own given name website for years until I noticed how few births must be included there.Just consider the following: Spain has only about 1/3 of the inhabitants of Japan, and as you can see here the most popular female name had a count of over 4000: http://www.nancy.cc/2019/10/15/popular-baby-names-spain-2018/If you check the Benesse data for 2018 the top name has a count of merely 29: https://st.benesse.ne.jp/ninshin/name/2018/Conclusion: Benesse must work with only 1 in 100 births or so. This is not very useful IMHO.
