[Facts] Keisha
I love Keisha.Does anyone know more about its etymology, usage etc.?It says that it might come from Keziah but that sounds quite different doesn't it? (KEZ-ee-ah, I guess?).Any ideas or proof that it comes from Keziah? Please rate my list: https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/6232

I'm unsure about the Keziah thing as well. Yes, there are black women named Keziah, but there are way more named Keisha. Maybe its related to Keela? (A stretch, I know.) Or maybe Keziah got altered/mispronounced as Keezah, and then became Keisha later on. Or, maybe there's a different name related to Keziah and THATS where Keisha comes from.
This name might be trapped in an etymological spiral. (Eg. Chimén comes from Ximena which comes from Ximeno which might come from some word meaning "boy". Still Unknown.)
