lol you definitely aren't the only one
anyway the reason people do this is becait they want their child to have a Unique name but they also want to name their child Jackson, or whatever other common name they're altering. It's pretty simple.
My least favorite is when people will replace literally any vowel with y. That's not how y works! It doesn't make every vowel sound!
