[Opinions] Mine (plus ten-year comparison)
My masculine list changed only a little bit, but my feminine list was almost overhauled completely! Now, most of my top feminine names (other than the top 2) do not end in -a, which was something that previously frustrated me (I thought it made my tastes seem "basic").Nicholas Bennett
Wesley Owen Rhys
Finn Gabriel
Donovan Leo
Malcolm Elliott
Nathan Alexander
Dominic Edwin
Adam Raphael
Jude Emory Thomas
Stefan Theodore
&
Sabrina Lily
Miranda Juliet
Caroline Eudora
Felicity Charlotte
Adelaide Estelle
Iris Emmeline
Guinevere Elise
Maxine Alexandra
Violet Isobel
Eseld AndromedaJude, Stefan, Caroline, Adelaide, Iris, Guinevere, Violet, and Eseld replaced Ezra, Mark, Alexandra (now a middle), Jane, Julia (Juliet is now a middle), Katrina, Esme, and Endellion. I swapped one Cornish name for another, and this is the first time in years that a Juli- name hasn't been in my Top 10. Feels strange without it!Ten years ago I'd abstained from several of the monthly lists, but in July 2012 I participated:Richard Brenden
Wesley Alden
Hunter Leland
Cameron Murrough
Connor Douglas
Lucas Raphael
Macsen Aldous
Dominic Ormond
Gregory Lorne
James Murdoch
&
Penelope Maude
Sabrina Vivian
Calliope Isidora
Philippa Constance
Charlotte Olivia Florence
Delilah Faye Wren
Guinevere Elise
Ursula Sylvana
Anastasia Natalie
Liliana JulietOh my gosh, GUINEVERE ELISE! I knew it was an old combo I was resurrecting, but I didn't plan this, I swear! Guinevere Elise comes back after, possibly, a ten-year absence (don't remember if she was on it in the intervening years). Don't know why I spelled "Brenden" that way, and these were the days where I kept searching for middles for Cameron before settling on the common but unflappable Michael. Dominic Ormond is quite fancy, but reading it now I do still like it. I don't remember ever liking Gregory enough to stick him in my Top 10, it's too harsh for my tastes. And ahhhh... the days of Charlotte Olivia Florence. I remember being convinced in my 20s that if I had a daughter (haha), this would likely be her name, unless my husband absolutely hated it or something. I would eventually burn myself out on Charlotte and grow to hate it, before now liking her again as a middle for Felicity. I admit I don't remember sticking Ursula and Sylvana together in the same combo, but I rather like it.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
