S2 [16] Gabriel Charles Heath
D [12] Samantha Allison "Sammie" HeathDavid and Stacy were married when he was twenty-four and she nineteen. He was a hard-working mechanic, and she a listless college student. It was a whirlwind romance of two young people who'd been forced to become friends as children, as their parents were the best of friends. The families objected to the union of the two, and Mr. and Mrs. David Charles Heath were estranged for quite some time.
It was ten years to be exact, ten years from their wedding day until the birth of their first child, David Cliff, called Cliff. The son was named after Stacy's father, Robert Cliff Hepburn. Her parents were very touched by this, and realized that just because David and Stacy had married so young didn't mean that it was a mistake. And so the David Charles Heath family was no longer avoided at Thanksgivings and un-invited to family Christmas parties. In fact, the Hepburns' silliness was laughed about.
Three years after the birth of Cliff, Gabriel, the long awaited second child, was born. The whole family was delighted, except maybe Cliff. The toddler was quite unhappy about sharing the spotlight with his baby brother.
Stacy was surprised when four years later, an unexpected third child was born. A daughter this time, which delighted Stacy. The baby was named Samantha, and quickly nicknamed Sammie by Gabriel, who couldn't be bothered to pronounce her full name.
Cliff, now nineteen, is a freshman at college. He is studying physics. Gabriel, a rebellious teen who just got his license, is tearing up the town with his friends. Sammie, the tomboyish preteen, is her parents' only current bridge to sanity, and is secretly getting to drive Gabriel's car.
