Love Pearl. One of my faves. I fell in love with it years ago when I was working in a care home and met a Pearl that was SO cute. She had perfectly white pixie hair and her strongest memories were of her life when she was a little girl living on the farm, so every day she would tell me stories about her chickens. Adorable.
I'd definitely use Pearl irl. I like the pronunciation! It's cute but also strong. I keep trying to get into Perla too, but Pearl will always have my heart first.
