Nils and Marta's path first crossed at university some nine year ago, they quickly became friends bonding over their common interest in classical music attending many concerts together during their studies. After graduating university their ways parted as Marta temporary relocated to Rome for her internship at Galleria Borghese and further studies, and Nils remained in Switzerland taking up a job at his father's friend's private bank. They met again four years ago after Marta returned to Geneva and quickly became a couple. They were married at Marta's grandmother's childhood church in Sicily one and half years ago and recently welcomed their first daughter.

They started dating three years ago and were engaged and married within the next year. Oliver works as a carpenter, while Betsy is a SAHM running an Etsy business that sells hand made jewelry on the side. Their older son just turned one, and they are expecting their second son in three months time.

Two years ago he re-located with his daughters to Washington D.C. where he works a government job.
