[Opinions] Re: Top 10 for May
in reply to a message by Uilos
There were quite a few changes to my list from last month, in particular my feminine list:Nicholas Evander
Finn Gabriel
Donovan Leo
Wesley Owen Rhys
Malcolm Elliott
Dominic Adam
Graham Tobias
Thomas William Gray
Jonathan Bennett
Richard Arthur
&
Sabrina Lily
Helena Sophie
Miranda Celeste
Alice Caroline
Fleur Iseult Esmée
Felicity Charlotte
Brooke Elodie Rose
Jade Elizabeth Adele
Ursula Margot
Chantal AthenaGraham, Fleur, Brooke, Jade, Ursula, and Chantal replaced Harrison, Viola, Juno, Marguerite, Zoe, and Cordelia. Richard & Ursula are returning old favorites, but some of these - Fleur, Chantal, and possibly Jade - have never been in my Top 10 before.I actually posted the thread 10 years ago (I was almost done with college when I did that - wow), so here were my Top 10 combos then:Cameron Elliott, "Cam"
Dominic Edmond
Finn Alistair
Francis Dimitri, "Frankie"
John Timothy, "Johnny"
Malcolm Terrance, "Mal"
Matthew Lawrence, "Matt"
Nicholas Tyler, "Nick"
Richard Geoffrey, "Rick"
Wesley Alden, "Wes"
&
Abigail Constance, "Abby"
Cordelia Wren (anybody have a nn idea that *isn't* "Cordy?")
Eleanor Yvette
Juliet Eliza
Lydia Charlotte
Meadow Evangeline
Penelope Rose, "Penny Rose"
Sabrina Vivienne
Ursula Maeve
Zoe WinnifredI included nicknames 10 years ago (lol @ my question regarding Cordelia). The presences of some of these really surprise me, though: Francis "Frankie" (I cannot recall ever liking Frankie as a guy's name, it sounds way too Goodfellas / The Sopranos); John "Johnny" (I do like Jonathan, but how many Johns are there in the world?); and the nickname Penny. I also recall those days of preferring the spelling Winnifred to Winifred... blech!***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
