Both are nice names, but I’d be more likely to go with Anastasia “Annie”.

Anastasia. Stacy is actually starting to grow on me, and that nickname used to be the reason I always considered Anastasia to be "unusable". But Stacy is so rare nowadays, I can't remember the last time I came across one! It's acquiring a fun 70s patina now, so I guess I prefer Stacy to Allie or Alex or Lexie etc. Alexandra sure is beautiful though.

If it's Alexandra vs Anastasia alone, I'd choose AnastasiaBut if we're considering nicknames, I prefer Alex, Alexis, Alexa, Lexie, Sandra, Sandy far more than Ann / Anne, Anna, Annie, Stasia, Stacy, like leagues more. Though, I prefer Alexander over both, so if I would to be inclined, I'd choose Alexander for a son over Alexandra for a daughterHowever, I can't do that because Alexander is a close family name, so Anastasia would have to win there

AnastasiaAlexandra is still nice but I do prefer Anastasia.

Overall Alexandra - they’re both strong feminine names but Anastasia is more frilly and I think the nickname Lexi is cute (Ana, Stasia, Stacey etc. are not as appealing).
For myself I’d pick Alexandra. If I was naming a daughter I’d probably pick Anastasia though.

For a baby right now, I'd still go with Alexandra. Anastasia is a really cool name, but it just doesn't have the nickname options that Alexandra has, and I feel like there are too many different ways to pronounce it in English.
