DH: Peter Lazarus Faulkner (wavy light brown hair, blue eyes)
DW: Rosalind Beatrix "Rozz" Craven (curly auburn hair, hazel eyes)Peter and RozzPeter never should've met Rozz. He was supposed to stay home and study for his British literature test, get one step closer to his English degree. But his best friend insisted that was no way to spend Halloween, and before he knew it, Peter was in the car on the way to his first goth show. Peter could tell you everything about Gothic lit, but goth music? That was another world entirely - Nik's world, not his. On the car ride over, Nik tried to ease his fears, played Bauhaus, Siouxise, the basics. He told him it'd be fun. Peter wasn't sure about that, but he did need to get out more. So he let Nik do his makeup ("nothing too crazy") and headed inside. Even with the makeup, Peter felt profoundly out of place - a sea of people like Nik, androgynous and heavily made up, swaying their hands like willow branches to brooding, strange music. He felt like an intruder. But still, it was interesting. Maybe even fun, once he had a few drinks in. The music still wasn't his thing, but it was nice when drunk - intriguing, but not overwhelming, with steady bass and easy rhythm. The dancing was barely that, anyone could do it. And when you got into it, it was nice, creating your own solitary world. He could get used to that. And so he barely noticed the pretty tradgoth girl drifting toward him as she danced until the music stopped and he went to find Nik. There stood Rozz: wild auburn curls hairsprayed to high heaven, hazel eyes peeking out of heavy black liner, so pale she hadn't even painted her face. She was beautiful, and Peter could hardly speak when she asked for his number. Now that college is over, they've gotten married and moved into a beautiful Victorian home - the perfect middle ground between their two styles. Peter's never been happier to fail a test.
